[ORIGINAL STORY Apr. 30th, 2014]  The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened this morning on Gilliam-Scotts Slough Road in the northern part of the parish.

Just after 7 a.m., the driver of a truck headed southbound lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and went into a ditch, then overturned in a cotton field. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was still inside the truck when emergency personnel arrived. Firefighters had to remove him from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
