[UPDATE] Arkansas Man Dies in Caddo Parish Wreck

[UPDATE]  The Caddo Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man who died in yesterday morning's accident on Gilliam-Scotts Slough.  He's 52-year-old Phillip Kellog of Bradley, Arkansas. Deputies are still investigating.

[ORIGINAL STORY Apr. 30th, 2014]  The Caddo Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened this morning on Gilliam-Scotts Slough Road in the northern part of the parish.

Just after 7 a.m., the driver of a truck headed southbound lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and went into a ditch, then overturned in a cotton field. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was still inside the truck when emergency personnel arrived. Firefighters had to remove him from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are looking into whether speed was a factor in the crash. The driver's name is being withheld pending notification of family.
