A couple of Elm Grove Middle School 8th graders spent part of their day today learning the ins and outs of the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office.

14-year-olds Jacob Sparer and Quinton Smith (in blue jacket in the photos) are part of the Journey to Careers class at school and are considering careers in law enforcement. So they spent their Job Shadowing Day with Bossier deputies.

They visited the Bossier Parish Courthouse where they got to see a courtroom in action. They also got to see how dispatchers operate; they met with Probation and Parole; they visited the North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy; and they visited with Crime Scene Investigators.
