Bossier Woman Killed in Accident

A 24-year-old Bossier City woman is dead -- the result of a one-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway-Three -- Benton Road -- yesterday morning. State Police say Melissa Maggio was traveling south in a Toyota 4-Runner -- in the inside lane -- when she side-swiped a car in the outside lane. Her SUV then ran off the right-hand side of the road, hit a utility pole on the driver's side, and flipped over -- ejecting her. She died last evening at LSU Hospital.
