Bossier City Infant Drowns in Backyard Pool

Bossier City police are investigating the apparent accidental drowning of a 13-month old girl. Officers say the child's mother was at home at the time of the incident -- in the 2200 block of Belle Grove Drive -- and didn't realize that the little girl had wandered out into the back yard. When she realized that the child was missing, she located her in the family pool. Police say the mother called 9-1-1 and immediately began CPR. EMS got there in three minutes and took over CPR. The little girl was rushed to Willis Knighton Bossier where she was pronounced dead.
