This past Saturday, the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office coordinated recovery efforts with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office in Texas, to pull a body from the Sabine River.

According to DeSoto Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle, a call came into the Sheriff's office about 11AM on Saturday, February 12th, that a body had been found in the Sabine River, on the Texas side of the river.

The Sheriff's Office released the more information this morning:

"The body was recovered and tentatively identified as that of Michelle Curry Ford; however, an autopsy will be conducted to provide a positive identification and rule on the cause of death.  Our agency plans to continue working with Shelby County officials during the investigation.  We would ask that your thoughts and prayers be with the family during this time."
