For many people, retirement might mean finding a community that offers lots of sunshine and recreational opportunities. But, for men and women leaving military service, the priorities are often quite different. That's why military-dot-com and USAA have again teamed up with Sperling's Best Places to rank the best cities for military retirement. This year, the focus was on places for them to find second careers. USAA Financial Planner June Walbert says, even though Shreveport/Bossier didn't make the top ten overall list, that doesn't mean that this area isn't a great place for military personnel to retire. Shreveport/Bossier did make the list of the top ten "Military Metro" areas -- that is, metropolitan areas that are home to five-thousand or more active duty military personnel. Here's a link to all of the rankings:  http://www.usaa.com/bestplaces
