BESE Could Improve Science Standards In Louisiana Schools

The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education is launching a review of the state's science standards for public schools. The board announced on Tuesday that they will enlist 85 educators to take a look at the program. The current science standards have been in place since 1997 and only two other states have older standards.

BESE recently took similar steps to rewrite and update standards for both math and English.
