Area and State Make Top Ten

Site Selection magazine is out with its yearly economic development rankings. The Shreveport/Bossier Metropolitan Statistical Area -- that is, Caddo, Bossier, and Desoto Pparishes -- has made it to the top ten again. We're tied for number nine in the country among metro areas with populations between 200-thousand and one-million. The state, meanwhile, ranks third in the country on a per-capta basis in Site Selection's Governor's Cup rankings and tenth for states that gained the most new and expanded corporate facilities last year.
