A Big Check for the Bossier Police Department
The Bossier District Attorney’s Office today presented the Bossier City Police Department with a check in the amount of $20,364 from property seized as a result of drug investigations conducted over the past few months.
Assistant District Attorney Mike Nerren presented Deputy Chief Jimmy Stewart with the check representing 60% of the total amount of assets seized from suspects in 18 narcotics investigations. Those assets include items such as cash, vehicles and other property. The Bossier City Police Department will use the money to fund future drug enforcement operations in the city.
The district attorney’s office receives 20% of the total asset funds while the remaining 20% goes to the Bossier Parish Criminal Court Fund.
