What is this all about?
On October 20, 2006 three beautiful young ladies from Airline High School, Emily Perdue, Molly Reed and Katy Watkins, were killed in a tragic automobile accident on their way to a football game in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
To keep their memories alive in our hearts, a “Garden of Angels” memorial was established at Airline High School.
A “Garden of Angels” Scholarship Fund was also established to be able to award a scholarship each year to an Airline High School student who exudes exemplary character.
The first year, a scholarship was awarded to two recipients, Erin Semanco and Megan Atwood, the second year’s recipient was Rachel McDaniel, the third year’s recipient was Emily Watkins, and last year’s recipient was Andy Watkins.
