A Shreveport man found guilty last week of second-degree murder in the death of his three-month-old son will be spending the rest of his life behind bars. Caddo District Court Judge Scott Crichton has sentenced 22-year-old Grady Thornton to life at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Tornton's attorney had ask for a motion seeking a modification of the charge, but Judge Crichton denied that. Thornton then agreed to waive the 24-hour waiting period following the judge's ruling on the motion.
