Xfinity Outage Leaves Thousands without Service in North Louisiana

SHREVEPORT, LA - A widespread outage at Comcast/Xfinity leaves folks fuming on Monday night. For thousands of Shreveport residents, the outage began at about 4pm in the afternoon. Xfinity was telling customers they hoped to have the system back up and running by 8pm.

Xfinity/Comcast blames the outage on network damage.

Downdetector reports trouble with the following services have been reported:

65% landline internet

28% no signal

Service to many was restored by about 9pm across much of Shreveport. This outage was not limited to Shreveport Bossier. Outages were reported in many cities across the nation. Residents of Monroe also reported no service. Waskom, Texas residents also reported they lost service.
