The woman accused of abducting an 8-year-old boy in Ruston has been arrested, according to Louisiana State Police.

An Amber Alert was issued Sunday, October 25, after Dakota Knox was taken from a hotel in Ruston. It is believed that Knox was sleeping in the backseat of a car that was stolen from the Lincoln Motel. 23-year-old Sommer Ann Hattawy has been accused of the theft and kidnapping.

The Amber Alert was cancelled when Knox was found and returned to his family unharmed at around 9 P.M. Sunday night.

Hattaway was arrested around 8:30 A.M. on October 26. No details on where or how she was located have been released. She was transferred to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of car theft and kidnapping.
