If you grew up shopping at Winn-Dixie grocery stores, you most likely have fond memories of the place.  You probably were also saddened when the company declared bankruptcy earlier this year.  The move led many to believe that the southern grocery staple could be breathing it's dying breath.  You may now breathe easier Winn-Dixie lovers - the company has announced that is exiting bankruptcy and is ready to expand operations in Louisiana once again!

The company says that not only are the current South Louisiana locations safe from closing, but locations are currently being considered for new stores.  According to the Advocate, the grocer is also getting on board with grocery delivery companies Shipt and Instacart.  The updated business plan is centered around creating loyalty with new customers by improving the experience and ease of shopping for food.

Winn-Dixie's parent company, Southeastern Grocers, currently has stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina under the Winn-Dixie, Harvey's, and Bi-Lo brands.
