Why are So Many Republican Politicians Bailing on Trump?
It's a question that inspired one of our most heated conversations in quite a while. I wondered - and sought listener help - why so many Republican politicians (okay, let's call them RINOs, Republicans In Name Only) suddenly bailing on backing President Trump for reelection and publicly endorsing Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
Here's my problem. Those Republicans - former Ohio Governor John Kasich, columnist George Will and former Secretary of State, Gen. Colin Powell, to name three - are, by endorsing Biden, also endorsing the radically leftist Democrat Party agenda, including higher taxes, single payer government controlled healthcare, open borders, amnesty and a road to citizenship for 25 million illegals, an end to the American fossil fuel industry via the Green New Deal and gun control, if not confiscation, to name just a few.
But these same GOP leaders have, for decades, preached to me that they believe just the opposite, that they're for smaller government, lower taxes, etc. Have they been lying all along? Do they "have theirs" and realize that no matter how radical the Dem agenda, they'll still be living in gated communities, with armed guards and free, concierge healthcare? Or do they hate the President so much that they'd cast aside the ideologies they've long embraced?

'I hate to say it, but Robert is correct. You can’t back Joe Biden and not accept his pro-abortion, green new deal, higher taxes and more regulation liberal agenda."
"As a long time conservative, I couldn’t stomach Trump in 2016, but I voted over Killary. Now, that decision feels dirty. Trump is a problem for business, and for our society. Maybe I’ve become less angry in my later years, but Joe Biden has always felt like the most conservative Democrat. He’s pro life, pro 2A, and a man of the lord. I do not believe Trump has ever read the Bible. He’s a heretic and that’s obvious. I want a President I can be mad at, not afraid of."
"How in the world can you call yourself a Christian if you support full term abortion as the Democrats do? The Republicans Robert named are no better than the Democrats if they side with those kind of beliefs. They are bought and paid for."

"Voting for Biden instead of Trump is like eating p**p because you don't like broccoli."
