It sucks.

The reason you're moving might not be bad. The place you're moving to might not be bad. There are a lot of great reasons to move long distances. But that act of packing up, moving everything, and unpacking it all again isn't pleasant.

For many people, the final destination of these big moves is right here in Louisiana. There have been plenty of people picking up their lives and relocating it to The Boot. But the states they're coming from is the shocking part.

Unveiling the Top States Moving to Louisiana

We took a look at the 25 states that have been sending the most people to Louisiana. While some aren't shocking at all, others were headscratchers. We're going to look at the whole list below, so you can skip ahead if you don't want the spoilers, but I'm gonna spoil #1 on the list.

The spoiler is that Texas is #1 on the list. But its totally not shocking that the biggest, most populated state, that borders Louisiana would send the most people on relocation journeys.

The Shocking Truth: Beyond Texas and Mississippi

Its also not shocking that Mississippi is in the Top 5 on the list. But #2, #3, and #5 are all pretty bizarre.
