Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies are investigating the deaths of two Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center inmates. Both were participants in the state's work release program. Sheriff Gary Sexton say 50-year-old Robert Wells was found suddenly unresponsive in his dormitory last Friday. He was rushed to the hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival. Then, yesterday morning, 43-year-old Anthony Bailey was reported to be in need of emergency medical care shortly after arriving at his scheduled work detail. He, too, was rushed to the hospital, where he died a short while later. Sheriff Sexton says he's very concerned about the deaths and wants to get to the bottom of what happened.
