Bossier Parish public school kids go back to the books tomorrow, and that means motorists have extra things to watch out for during their morning and afternoon drives -- school zones, buses and kids walking to school. Bossier City Spokesman Mark Natale says motorcycle officers will be out in force writing tickets to drivers who choose to speed in school zones. And the penalties for doing so are pretty steep...fines between $100 and $500, possible license suspension or jail time. And those tickets come with a mandatory court appearance. He reminds motorists that, no matter which direction they're traveling on a divided roadway, Louisiana law requires that they stop for buses loading and unloading children.
