Shreveport Police are searching for a man in connection to a fatal shooting earlier this week in Shreveport.

Just after 11:00 a.m. on October 10, 2016, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a vacant lot located in the 300 block of West 77th Street after residents discovered a man lying on the ground. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of 22-year-old Hayden B. Craig of the 200 block of Larkin Street in Shreveport with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

A press release from Cpl. Marcu Hines, SPD Spokesman, tells us how the investigation lead to a warrant being issued:

Since the investigation into the shooting began, authorities have gathered information leading them to identify 26 year old Sirmetric Santana Davidson as the suspect in the crime. A warrant for Davidson's arrest has been procured by investigators, charging him with a single count of second degree murder. Davidson, of Shreveport, stands approximately five feet three inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. Davidson has a tattoo on his forehead and currently has short dreadlocks.
