CIA Director Leon Panetta is President Obama's pick to be the next Defense Secretary...and he's meeting today with members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Louisiana U-S Senator David Vitter is a member of that panel -- and had a private meeting with Panetta last week in the senator's office. Vitter says one of Panetta's biggest tasks after he's confirmed will be dealing with the impact of the deficit on defense spending. He says they discussed that issue at great length last week.  Vitter says he supports Panetta's nomination -- and the nomination of General David Petreaus to succeed him as head of the CIA.
