A lightning strike is believed to be the cause of a fire that damaged a vacant house this morning in north Bossier City.

Firefighters were called to the scene on Chez Moi Drive at Greenacres Drive at approximately 9:30 a.m. Monday by a passerby who saw flames coming from the roof.

Firefighters had the fire under control in about 25 minutes and kept it contained to a portion of the roof and attic.

An investigation by the Bossier City Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Bureau indicates the fire was caused by a lightning strike. There were no reported injuries.
