Logan Procell, a first year teacher with DeSoto Parish has resigned his position after being arrested and charged in a case involving a minor, according to DeSoto Superintendent Cade Brumley.

Procell was arrested and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor, after an investigation was triggered when authorities in Massachusetts contacted Sabine Parish officials. The investigation has included the Louisiana State Police, Sabine Sheriff's Office, and the FBI.

Authorities are still investigating, and those close to the case believe that more charges could be on the way as the investigation continues on.

DeSoto Parish Schools originally placed Procell on administrative leave, but accepted his resignation before noon today. According to Superintendent Brumley, Procell had a clean record prior to his hire, and was in his first year with the district.

Procell remains behind bars, and is being held without bond.
