DeSoto Parish Teacher Arrested For Indecent Behavior
On October 13, 2023, Investigators with the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Jemartrius C. Mayweather, formerly employed with the DeSoto Parish School Board, for Indecent Behavior with Juveniles and Pornography Involving Juveniles.
This is an on-going investigation.

The Desoto Parish School Board made the following statement:
“The DeSoto Parish School Board has learned of the arrest of a former Mansfield Middle School teacher on serious charges. Law enforcement officials are currently handling the matter as the teacher is no longer employed by the district. The safety and well-being of our students continue to be our number one priority. We want to assure our community that this incident does not reflect the values and dedication of the teachers and staff of our district, who work tirelessly to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for our students.”
