As we count the hours until the retirement of Robert J. Wright, the tributes keep pouring in. On Wednesday night, Congressman Mike Johnson took to the floor of the United States House to honor Robert.

In this speech which will forever be recorded in the Congressional record, Johnson told his colleagues Robert "is a local legend who will be sorely missed in our area." He says it is "truly difficult to image our region without his voice on the airwaves."  Johnson says Robert is a consummate professional broadcaster who is always informative, entertaining and genuinely in tuned-in to the people and the issues of Louisiana.

Johnson adds "Robert, congratulations on your retirement. We all hope you will finally be able to get some sleep in the morning. You've earned it my friend. God Bless."

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy also honored Robert on the U.S. Senate floor earlier this month.
