Toddler Is Murdered in Shreveport Stoner Hill Area

SHREVEPORT, LA - A tragedy for a local family in the Shreveport Stoner Hill neighborhood. A 1-year-old child is killed when suspects opened fire on an apartment early Sunday morning. The toddler was hit in the head.

This shooting happened at about 4am Sunday morning at the Stone Vista Apartments in the 500 block of East Stoner. Police says this shooting "resulted in the loss of a precious life - a one-year-old child succumbed to a gunshot wound, and another individual was found injured."

Detectives are actively pursuing leads to catch up with the suspects who are described as several teenage males. SPD is asking for the public's help in this critical investigation.

Detectives have released surveillance photos of the vehicle the suspects were in and are urging anyone with information about this case to contact them immediately.
