Shreveport's rich musical history runs very deep. The city has been home to legendary musicians James Burton, Tillman Franks, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Iwrestledabearonce, Kix Brooks, Faron Young, and many others. While also playing home to the launch of careers that changed music forever, like Shreveport native Lead Belly Ledbetter, legendary rock band Pantera, and The King, Elvis Presley.

In addition to the musicians who have launched their lives and careers in Shreveport, the city has been the host for some of histories biggest artists over the years. Artists like Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Marvin Gaye, Garth Brooks, Run D.M.C., Iron Maiden, Prince, and a ton more. Artists have played in multiple Shreveport venues, from the Municipal Auditorium to The Hirsch, and various others along the way.

A few weeks ago, we had a listener bring by a huge scrapbook of concert and musical events from Shreveport. The pictures, programs, and tickets were all from the mid-to-late 1980s into the 1990s.
