SHREVEPORT, LA – One Louisiana grocery store is gearing up for Thanksgiving and is working to keep prices down. But it is still going to cost you more this year to put that spread on the table.

One of the reasons the prices are high this year is the spike in gas prices. This has an impact on shipping all the goods needed for your Thanksgiving feast.

Several reports show prices for groceries are up by as much as 50% on hundreds of items compared to the prices prior to the Covid pandemic. But one grocery chain is doing everything possible to trim your costs for this year.

Aldi has put together a package to roll the clock back to 2019 to give you pre-inflation prices, meaning 10 people can be fed a full Thanksgiving meal for less than $47 with its Thanksgiving basket.

How Is Aldi Dropping Prices for Thanksgiving?

A statement from the grocery chain says

Throughout the Thanksgiving season, holiday hosts can shop Aldi for all the fresh ingredients and award-winning products they need to assemble a beautiful holiday feast, coming in at less than $4.70 per person.

What Is Included in this Thanksgiving Basket?

You can load up all the basics for your feast. This includes a 16 pound Butterball turkey, gravy, rolls, cornbread stuffing, and mac and cheese — along with ingredients to make cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie.

You don’t need any coupons or loyalty card to get this deal. And this prices will be good through Thanksgiving. You don’t have to do anything special to get these discounted prices at Aldi.

Aldi CEO Jason Hart says “We worked hard this Thanksgiving to deliver the best value and quality products so everyone can enjoy a traditional meal with family and friends without having to scale back.”

When Can You Get These Great Prices?

This special Thanksgiving package is available until November 27^th. You don’t want to wait until the last minute, though. Product availability will vary by store location and is subject to change.
