Teachers Learn New Ways to Teach
A second group of teachers has completed Project Lead the Way boot camp at Northwestern State University. For the past two weeks, they've been going through intense training to prepare them to implement the project in their classrooms this fall. Basically, Project Lead the Way is a non-profit program to introduce engineering principals to middle and high school students. And Northwestern State is the PLTW affiliate for Louisiana, hosting several training sessions every summer. The program integrates math, science, and technology in projects that encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, math, and engineering.
