With the threat of winter weather here in north Louisiana overnight February 10th, 2014, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reminds motorists to use extra caution when driving.

The threat of sleet, snow and slippery roads has local residents concerned about conditions as the first winter storm of the year arrives. KEEL news will bring you up to date coverage if any roads are closed, but we wanted to share with you some great links to help you stay of top of road conditions.

Expect to hear the youngsters ask you if they have to go to school because local weather experts say our temp could drop close to the freezing mark overnight....and we have a tiny chance of precipitation. On my travels along the Bossier Parkway, it sure looks like winter is here...

LifeShare Blood Centers encourages blood donations ahead of the winter weather. Officials say blood donations will likely be disrupted tomorrow and Thursday because of the expected weather event. So they're asking folks in our four-state region to visit a Blood Center location or mobile blood drive to ensure an adequate community blood supply...
