Why does it only hail in the warm months? Why not in the winter? And I've learned it's actually a pretty understandable phenomenon.

The Department of Transportation is gearing up for possible sleet and snow in parts of Louisiana this week. DOTD has sent out a statement about the possibility of wintry precipitation moving into the north and central regions overnight on Monday.

Wintery mix, high water shouldn't be major issues for us today.

Sleet fell throughout Shreveport Bossier in the 4am hour today, but it quickly turned to rain as the temperature did not fall close to the freezing mark.  But areas to the north of us did see more of the winter precip.  For the most part, it's not accumulating though...
