Shreveport Storms

The count of all the tornados that have happened this year have been recorded by the National Weather Service.

Strong storms roared through Shreveport Bossier early today causing several headaches on the roads. Traffic was backed up on I-20 eastbound for a couple of miles after there was a wreck on the bridge. There was also a mess on I-49 at Kings Highway during the height of the storm. Haughton also had a mess on I-20 and the westbound lanes had to be closed while the wreck was cleaned up.

Damage assessment is complete in North Highland. One home was heavily damaged. Red Cross volunteers continue to work with families to provide assistance as needs are identified.

After days of dry weather, Shreveport got some rain. But, it was in the form or heavy thunderstorms rolling through the Ark-La-Tex.
