At approximately 11:30 PM on August 30, 2015 Harrison County 911 dispatchers received a call from Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview regarding a shooting victim in the emergency room.

The newest tool for local law enforcement to teach firearms safety to children in our area is being unveiled today here in Shreveport.

If your child will be getting a gun for Christmas, the Caddo Sheriff's Office wants that child to learn how to use it safely. The sheriff's office is now registering children ages 8 to 12 for the yearly "First Gun" course.
