A suspect has been arrested in the May 5th drive-by shooting death of 20-year-old Devonte English of Bossier City.

Police say 20-year-old Alonzo Washington of Shreveport is accused of fatally shooting English by firing gunshots from a car in which Washington was a passenger. 21-year-old Jemarcus Morris of Bossier also suffered a gunshot wound to the lower leg as the two men were standing at the corner of Burchett and Wilder Streets in the Barksdale Annex neighborhood.

Washington is charged with first-degree murder in English's death. He also faces charges for shooting Morris. He's now in the Bossier City Jail on $750,000 bond.
