A Crime Stoppers tip leads to the arrest of a man wanted for trying to rob a local bank early this week.

That tip, along with other information detectives gathered during their investigation, led to the arrest of 33-year-old Johnathan Wade. He's believed to be the man who attempted to rob the Capital One Bank in the 6500 block of Youree Drive on April 4. He handed the teller a note demanding money, but left the bank without getting any cash.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect the day the robbery took place.

Wade was taken into custody this morning at his home in the 5900 block of Yarbrough Avenue in Shreveport. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted simple robbery. His bond is set at $40,000.
