More than 200 summer jobs, as well as 10 internships, are available for Shreveport youths and college students through the city's Summer Youth Employment Program and the Mayor's Internship Program.

The jobs, which are available to those from age 16 to 21, are scattered throughout the city and provided by government, organizations, and private businesses.  The internships, for college students, are available in city government.

Information about both programs is available on the city's website. Applications for the summer jobs program are also available at all SPAR recreation centers and the Department of Community Development.  All applications must be turned in by 5 p.m. on May 10.
