State Representative Alan Seabaugh talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his reelection campaign and the challenges facing the state in the years ahead.

Seabaugh, a longtime opponent of the Governor John Bel Edwards, tells KEEL listeners "Nobody has been a more staunch opponent of the (Edwards) tax increases than I have. I successfully blocked a $500 million per year tax increase for seven years that was completely unnecessary. If you want proof that it was unnecessary just look at the fact that we have a $500 million surplus right now. We did not need to raise taxes."
