State Education Superintendent John White praises northwest Louisiana school systems for their performance improvement, but says there's still some work to be done. Superintendent White says he's particularly impressed with DeSoto Parish, which he calls the "fastest-growing parish in the state. They've made real changes through helping to develop their teachers, making sure they get the best teacher in the classroom, and it's paid off." And he says our area high schools seemed to show the biggest improvements.

White joined KEEL Morning News to discuss some of the performance scores -- and what can be done in the future to improve them even more...
