Despite jobs lost from the Shreveport GM facility closure, State Economic Development Secretary Stephen Moret says Shreveport-Bossier's economy is looking good.He says plans are still in the works to move another tenant, or tenants, into the former plant...and it's possible that several new manufacturing businesses could be part of that.

He points to numerous projects that have kept our region ahead of the game...

As for the "really big economic plum" for Shreveport-Bossier that economist Loren Scott mentioned when he was in town recently...Moret says he can't say anything specific about that right now, because nothing's a "done deal" yet.  But he says there are several projects economic development officials are trying to lure here.
