According to KATC-TV, a deal has been reached on a 2013-2014 state budget here in Louisiana.

The deal would include a $69 million increase in public school funding next year.  The deal was reached by nine legislative leaders and backed by Governor Bobby Jindal.

The compromise will be presented to different delegations in hopes for passage before the session ends today at 6 p.m.
