SRAC Named Finalist in Grant Competition

A banner day for the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. At the same time that the arts council is hosting a three-day symposium on art in transportation, comes word that SRAC is a finalist for support from ArtPlace. ArtPlace is a private-public collaboration of nine of the nation's top foundations, eight federal agencies, including the National Endowment for the Arts, and six of the nation's largest banks. SRAC had applied for an ArtPlace grant to build the "Commonlink" in Shreveport Common. That's the planned interactive transportation and information hub. This year's grant recipients will be announced in May. SRAC is the only finalist in Louisiana.
