When Is Spring Break 2025 in Shreveport-Bossier? Dates & Travel Tips

SHREVEPORT, LA - We are about a month away from Spring break vacations for students in Shreveport and Bossier. This has a lot of folks dreaming about a nice getaway.

My go to spot for spring break with my boys was always the beach. It is just so relaxing to enjoy a week in a beautiful getaway where you have lots of sand and sun.

Caddo and Bossier Parishes have the same week off this year, but the break is a bit later for a couple of other local parishes.

Easter is on April 20 this year, so all of the school systems have a day or two off for Easter.

Most folks will tell you the calendar for our schools these days is built around spring testing. This is the primary reason school now starts in the first part of August. But we also have a fall break and what's listed as a "winter break" in Caddo Parish for the weekend of Presidents Day. Students will be off Friday February 14 and Monday the 17.

If you are thinking about a beach trip for spring break, you might wanna get your reservations now for a condo or a hotel. Most of the best spots fill up early.
