Single-vehicle Crash Leaves Shreveport Man Dead

Police have identified a local man who died following a weekend accident in west Shreveport.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, January 16, Shreveport police responded to a single-vehicle crash that happened in the 4200 block of Lakeshore Drive. A Lincoln Town Car left the roadway and struck a tree.

Officers found that the sole occupant, identified as 43-year-old Eric S. Moore, died at the scene after being trapped inside the car.

No exact cause of the accident has been established, but investigators believe excessive speed may have been a major factor.
