Shreveporter Lauren Vizza Makes a Run at Miss America Title

Good luck to Shreveporter Lauren Vizza. The reigning Miss Louisiana is now in Las Vegas competing in the Miss America pageant.

The Caddo Magnet High School grad is a senior at Louisiana Tech.

Vizza says she is very excited to represent our state in the national pageant. She was initially named Miss Louisiana Tech and her friends encouraged her to enter the statewide pageant.

She's planning to sport some black and gold in honor of the Saints and she might even wear a Duck Commander shirt during a part of the festivities.
