NSU to be Well Represented at Miss Louisiana Pagaent

Northwestern State University President Randall J. Webb, center, greets four Northwestern State students who are participating in this week’s Miss Louisiana Pageant in Monroe.

Pageant week activities began today.  Preliminary competition will be held Thursday and Friday nights.  The pageant finals are Saturday night and will be telecast around the state at 8 pm.

Along with Dr. Webb are, from left, Shannon Byrd of Marshall, Texas, Miss Louisiana Watermelon Festival; Tori Thompson of Humble, Texas, Miss Holiday in Dixie; Taylor Layman of Saint Gabriel, the 2014 Miss Northwestern Lady of the Bracelet; and Breanna Collier of Bossier City, Miss Natchitoches. Thompson and Collier are former Miss Northwestern – Ladies of the Bracelet.

Alumna Alyson Humphrey of Bossier City, Miss Spirit of the Red, will also be in the pageant.
