SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Woman Arrested After Stabbing Another

Just after midnight on June 17, 2024, Shreveport Police officers responded to a call regarding an assault and battery in the 3100 block of Woodlawn Avenue. Upon arrival, officers arrested 48-year-old Michelle Mitchell, who had stabbed a household member with a knife during the incident.

Further investigation revealed that Mitchell had outstanding warrants for entering and remaining after being forbidden, as well as resisting arrest. Mitchell was taken into custody for the outstanding warrants and the stabbing incident, and she has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

The victim of the stabbing is expected to recover from their injuries.

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty
