Shreveport Walmart Employee Arrested, Accused of Stealing $4,544
A 24 year old Shreveport woman has bonded out of the Caddo Correctional Center after being arrested on suspicion of stealing cash from the register her place of employment. According to KSLA, Kayla Renee Baker was picked up by Caddo Parish Sheriffs after she was caught on surveillance video several times taking money from her register.
Walmart's loss prevention team notified authorities after uncovering the evidence at the Walmart in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop in Shreveport. Baker is accused of taking in excess of $4,500. If convicted, she could serve up to a year in prison and may have to pay fine of up to $2,000. Obviously, she would have to get a new job to pay for that kind of fine if she is found guilty. Providing a solid work history might prove to be a bit difficult if the allegations are true.
