Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Transporting Juvenile for Sex

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Sex Crimes Division have arrested a man for Contributing to the Delinquency of a minor for an incident that happened back in March.

25 year-old Derek Thomas, a registered sex offender, was accused of transporting a 16 year-old out of the city with the intention of engaging in alleged sexual activity. SPD immediately started an investigation along with Sex Crimes detectives.

After that investigation Police were able track-down Thomas and arrest him on the Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor charge. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be added as information starts to surface.
