Shreveport Traffic Stop Leads to Felon Arrested with a Firearm
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest a convicted felon with a firearm on a traffic stop
On November 30th, 2023, around 12:47 a.m. proactive Shreveport Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 20 at Pines Road. At this time officers identified the man operating the vehicle as Jamario Jackson (5-15-98). Officers reported that Jackson had a suspended driver's license. Officers also found him to have a handgun.
Further investigation into the matter revealed that Jackson was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior felony offenses. He was arrested on one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The firearm was seized as evidence.
