Shreveport Student Arrested for Making Threats
SHREVEPORT, LA - For the second time this week, a Shreveport high school student is arrested for making threats.
What Happened in the Latest Case?
A student at Calvary Baptist Academy was arrested Friday for making threats involving school safety, said Sheriff Jay Long.
The school’s resource officer, Corporal Derek Owen, was notified of the student’s threats on social media, and the teenager was arrested.

After further investigation, Detective Ray Saunders arrested the student for Menacing. She was booked into Caddo Juvenile Detention Center
Earlier this week another female student from Southwood High School was also arrested for making online threats. She was also charged with menacing.
