Shreveport Man Arrested for Shooting on Patzman Street

Shreveport Police have arrested a man following an investigation into the September 8th shooting on Patzman Street.

Over the weekend, members of the SPD Warrants Unit took Rayshawn Smith into custody. He has been charged with Illegal Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm in a Firearm-Free Zone. Smith also had outstanding warrants for Criminal Mischief.

there were no injuries reported with this shooting. Smith was taken to the Shreveport City Jail after his arrest and was booked on the charges listed above as well as the outstanding warrants.

Shreveport Police warn the public that shooting guns in Shreveport neighborhoods will only lead to legal ramifications and jail time.
